Bodycote Materials Testing Group is the World’s leading independent materials testing organisation. The Group operates around 50 laboratories in 10 countries and is a provider of both routine and highly specialised testing services. Within the aerospace sector, the Group’s Plzen laboratory is supported by Bodycote specialists in the UK, US and Canada, offering a range of fatigue, fracture toughness, crack propagation, chemical analysis and other advanced services in accredited and OEM approved laboratories. The new Plzen laboratory is set to become an important link in a developing Bodycote global aerospace materials testing network.

Bodycote Materials Testing Plzen was established in April 2003 to service manufacturers of aerospace rotating components. The laboratory holds a wide range of QA and OEM approvals and is extremely well equipped to offer high volume, fast turnaround “production”.

Using the skills and procedures developed to service aerospace clients, Plzen is now capable of offering a service to a wide range of industrial groups, ranging from the automotive industry to the steel fabrication industry.

A fully operational machine shop, for cutting and machining samples, is located within the testing laboratory and is functional 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; allowing work to be accepted and results delivered at any time of day.

Certificates can be sent directly to the client via email or fax and an ‘Email work in progress’ service is also available for a client to see exactly which samples are required for testing and when they are due.
